Legacy Award Winners
The inaugural CASH Legacy Award was presented at the 2024 conference in Parry Sound, Ontario to the five individuals responsible for the creation of the Canadian Association for Sport Heritage: Maurice ‘Lefty’ Reid (Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum), Vaughan Baird (Aquatic Hall of Fame), Bill McBride (Canadian Football Hall of Fame), Peter W. Webster (British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame), Thomas West (Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame). CASH began as a subset of what is now named the International Sport Heritage Association (ISHA), when the above members decided a distinct organization would be beneficial to tackle the challenges unique to Canadian organizations. We sincerely appreciate their efforts.
